Ghetto Go Green CCAM

CLIMATE ADAPTATION MODALITIES CCAM

Ghetto Go Green is a 3 (2021 to 2023) year project implemented by HADE in Kamwanyi in partnership with Network for Active Citizens with funding from DreamTown. The project meant to empower young people in the K-zones who lack adequate knowledge about the effects of climate change in their communities, and how to address these challenges, although residents in Kampala’s informal settlements are the people most affected.

It is therefore paramount to create awareness in these youth about climate change and its impacts, and to build on their capacity towards adaptation strategies, and increasing sustainable food productivity in the communities. The knowledge gap is a dual challenge, as there is a lack of knowledge both among youth in the K-zones, but also among decision makers. Ghetto Go Green is funded by Network for Active Citizens.
